I am full time Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon since 2001 in Lancashire. I work in regional vascular tertiary centre. My commitment with the aims of VSS and expertise is demonstrated in regular participation in NW clinical governance and NVR in last 2 decades. My NHS service is recognised with National Clinical Excellence Award, as public acknowledgment of professional expertise and sustained and dedicated contribution. My experience include College Assessor and FRCS examiner in vascular surgery for 8 years and national selector for ST’s. Other Royal College of Surgeons activities included MRCS examiner, College tutor and faculty tutor for courses. I am regularly involved in teaching, research and examination of Manchester Medical School students. My special research interest in carotid artery disease continues as co-investigator of ACST-2 Trial. My research thesis was based on Eversion & Standard carotid endarterectomy under LA and GA. I have regularly published and delivered national presentation in my area of expertise.
