Vascular Societies' Annual Scientific Meeting 2023 was held at The Convention Centre Dublin 22nd - 24th November 2023.

The meeting saw an over 1,100 attendees through its door, along with more than 140 expert speakers from across the globe offering talks on hot industry topics and providing support.

Our famous Gala Dinner took place at the historic Guinness Storehouse, and our prestigious Presidents Dinner took place at the world-famous Trinity College.

Prize Presentations

Kinmonth Lecture

The 2023 Kinmonth Lecrure was delivered by Dr Anahita Dua from the United States.

 Dr Dua gave her talk on - Going out on a limb to save life and limb: Innovative approaches to preventing amputation in 2023

Edinburgh RCS Lecture

The 2023 Edinburgh RCS Lecture was delivered by Dr Alan Lumsden from the United States.

Dr Lumsden gave his talk on - The “Cardiovascular Centre”: Pipe dream or the way of the future

 

BJS Prize

The 2023 British Journal of Surgery Prize was won by Fiona Kerray from NHS Lothian. 

Fiona gave her oral presentation on - Evaluating the evidence for the impact of human factors science on operative performance in vascular surgery

Lifetime Achievement Award

The 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Professor Syed Waquar Yusuf.
