Advertising Consultant Posts With Royal College Approval

When an NHS Trust plans to appoint to a Surgical Consultant post in the UK, they send the job description and job plan to the Royal College of Surgeons. This is then forwarded to the Vascular Society for approval. The job plan is reviewed by Council and assessed according to the guidelines in Provision of Vascular Surgery. Once we approve a post, it is given the College badge and can be advertised.

Unfortunately, Foundation Trusts do not have to comply with these safeguards and some go ahead and advertise posts either without requesting College approval or ignoring the recommendations made by Council. 

 

Other organisation's, advertisement booking process

The Vascular Society would be pleased to display your organisation’s job role opportunities that are relevant to Vascular Society Members, for a charge of £200, for each job advertisement posted. 

Should you wish to promote a job opportunity on the Vascular Society’s website, you can do this by completing the attached booking form; email this to admin@vascularsociety.or.uk, along with the job advert.

Please note that all material posted to the website does go through an approval process, once approved we will contact you to confirm this.  The approval process does not include quality checking or content of the advert this is the organisation’s responsibility.

Once approved we would ask that payment is made, if you have provided a purchase order we will contact you with an invoice within 3 working days.

The job advert will be displayed for 31 days from the date it is posted to the website, and will be displayed no longer than 60 days your advert will be posted within 3 working days of receipt of payment.

The Vascular Society does accept alternative payment methods.
